Waiting For Superman is a documentary directed by Davis Guggenheim that opened in New York and Los Angeles on September 24, 2010 and nationwide in October.
The film is a personal exploration of the current state of public education in America.
The website for the film allows users to Make a Pledge to see the film and receive a gift code to give to classrooms on DonorsChoose.org.
First Book and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt have already pledged to donate 250,000 new books to schools and programs in low-income communities across the country. As more people pledge to see the film they will increase their donations.
